The platform was placed on the highest point in the town - one can witness a breathtaking panoramic view from here. From this point visitors can clearly see the whole horizon and the town of Tommot itself, and see for themselves how the town is getting closer and closer to what was envisioned in the master plan.
The design of the platform and its natural palette do not clash with the landscape - they incorporate into it flawlessly. What makes it special is that the platform was designed with the feedback from residents. They wished for it to be sustainable, functional and aesthetic, and we brought their vision to life. The placement and visual directions of three vantage points were also chosen by the residents. They are accompanied with comfortable benches and secure platform areas, creating a place for recreation and socialisation.
The distinctive identity of Tommot closely related to a railroad was carefully recreated in details: in art objects, in bike racks, in navigation elements. This project won the “Living Spaces-2023” competition and was implemented as a part of the “Infrastructure for Living” national project.
